Is it possible that a restaurant can have better sides than actual main dishes? Each time we order from them the entrees are just ok. This is a small take-out/dine-in restaurant that is not the most comfortable to dine in due to the lack of decor and usually small children are there of which are the employees. We have tried the dine in experience, take-out, and Delivery Dudes as they do not offer delivery. Our most recent visit was take-out. We were on our way home and decided to stop and order dinner. We made our order which included extra crispy General Tso Chicken. Paid and pick up in only 10 mins. After running next door to Publix we were back and they already had it all packed up in a brown bag. Everything was included in the bag that you would need to complete the meal (abundance of sauces, silverware packets/napkins, fortune cookies, and most importantly all of our food! We ordered Hot & Sour Soup and Egg Drop Soup; both have good flavor and are hearty soups! The order of Crab Rangoons come 5 in an order and are filled generously. They are the best we've come across so far in SoFL. As our entrees we split the Beef Lo Mein as well as the "extra" crispy General Tso Chicken. The Generals lacked the most, of course not being crispy and overall not much flavor. On the other hand the Beef Lo Mein had good flavor but was very greasy and even greasier the next day as leftovers. The portion sizes are very large and we always have leftovers. Prices are reasonable and they are quick to make your order. If they could improve their entrees with less oils & salts and more flavor/seasonings then this would be a great local spot.

I was pleasantly surprised by Chopstix. Sam and I came here on a night that neither of us felt like cooking. We are on a fairly strict low carb diet, so we figured Chinese food would be a good option. I ordered the Dragon and Phoenix, which was a combination of General Tso's chicken and mixed veggies with shrimp. I found this dish to be very tasty! I ordered it without rice because of the diet, but I'm sure it would have been even better with delicious rice mixed in. Sam ordered the orange beef and a large egg drop soup. He enjoyed his meal as well. They give you a lot of food for a decent price. The orange beef was under $10, the dragon and phoenix was under $13 and the soup came free since we spent over $20. Overall it was a good experience from a small take out place. I will definitely be back as I really want to try their Crab Rangoon... The diet ends in a few days!

Always great, always fresh, and always fast! Definitely the best Chinese I have found since moving to SoFla, where the Chinese is mediocre, at best. Not at all greasy...just really good food. Egg Rolls are fantastic!

I have yet to have a decent meal at this place. Will NEVER go back. General Tso chicken is terrible. Soggy chicken in a jarred sauce I could have purchased at Publix.

I've been going there almost everyday at least for the last six months on my lunch break, love the food over there but this family needs to learn how to smile and keep up a good relationship with their loyal customers. The mother is so mean and she makes you feel like she's doing you a favour taking your order, always makes mistakes with the order and never bothers fixing her mistakes properly specially with someone who goes there frequently and order exactly the same dish every single time. From experience Chinese are super sweet in general inside and outside their country.

As for the General Tao's chicken, nobody ever served General Tao any chicken like this, because if they did, the General would have put them in front of a firing squad and had them shot. It was overly salty and consisted mostly of skin and fats. Though eating here was my first big mistake, ordering a dish with General Tao's chicken was a second mistake. A third mistake was to have a sit down meal because Chopstix is clearly nothing but a Chinese takeout place though they have three tables each with a four chair seating capacity. When you get your food, it comes in a takeout containers and the flatware they give you is nothing but flimsy plastic. Trust me, trying to eat General Tao's chicken with a cheap plastic fork and knife is no easy task nor is attempting a bowl a Won Ton with a tiny little plastic spoon any easier. Also, if you order a drink, don't expect them to have opened the bottle or that you will get a glass to drink it from. And though rather well behaved, the proprietor's children use the customer dining area for their computer playroom. On the bright side, it will give you a chance to hear a lot of computer sounds that you've most likely never heard before. I spent my entire time a Chopstix wishing I had gone just down the 26th Street to Lotus Chinese Kitchen where I could have had much better food, service, eating utensils and atmosphere at what would have actually have worked out to have been at a lesser price. Needless to say, I won't be back and sorry to say that I think the advice of some of the other Yelpers with regards to this place is totally off the mark.

Stopped here last week and wish I had not. Ordered sweet and sour chicken but asked, several times in advance, if the chicken was white meat. The woman who took my order insisted that it was. It was not. I found this out after taking it home. It was dark meat. To make matters worse, it was just not good. The dish came with no onions or peppers, as I usually find in sweet and sour chicken. Instead, it came heavily breaded, like a corn dog with a tiny piece of meat and a lot of fried dough. It was really awful. Too bad it's so close to my place. However, even the convenience cannot overcome the really bad food.

I ordered pepper steak, and shrimp egg rolls.. The pepper steak was very flavorful and the egg rolls were crisp and not greasy. For traditional American Chinese food.. Pretty good.

Don't usually eat here because I generally don't care for it but we decided to try it again. Ordered combos, added soup and also an appetizer. General tso isn't bad though I always question when all pieces are perfectly shaped the same as that's just not what chicken looks like. Rice was over-filled with carrots peas and bean sprouts. Everything on the inside of the egg roll is white and spongey, it's just all old cabbage I guess? They forgot the soup and the appetizer. Didn't finish the meals and won't be returning. Extremely disappointed. I thought their food would be good because they dont deliver, there combo deals dont include the normal soup, they don't allow substitution, and there menu was hard to find that they would be good because obviously they are not making attempt to offer what there competition offers. I called to place a take out order and was greeted by a person that couldn't wait to get off the phone. She was also rude. It added to my assumption about the food because again how can this place still be in business unless there food was amazing. I thought maybe it's like the soup nazi. When I got the food home, I started with the wonton soup. It was basically flavored water. I will say the actual wontons in the soup were good. I then had the Mongolian beef. The beef was more fat then meat. It was plopped in the try with a bunch of sauce, which actually was good but lumped all together. At the end of the day it's Chinese take out, so I'm not expecting much, the food is ok but the pricing, lack of flexibility, and service are bad. I'm not sure how they stay in business.

Update. Got food from this place again. Walked in and ordered. Done in less then 15 mins. Food was fresh and very good!! General Tsos was amazing and so was the Sweet and Sour chicken. Ive ordered from here many times and the food is really good but the quality yesterday deserved an update and a 5 star rating. This place is also very very clean.

I go to this chinese restaurant a lot. Always a nice place to order from when hunger suddenly strikes and you have nothing in the fridge. They always surprise me by giving me something extra for free.

I may be new to Chinese food at 51 not! but moo shu comes with a rice pancake. Was told I had no idea what I was talking about when i received a flour tortillas ( you get 24 of them for a 1.99 at Publix) I didn't realize I was ordering Mexican. Maybe in Florida a flour tortilla is acceptable but it's a sad excuse moo shu. The person on the phone was extremely rude. I've ordered from them many times before but will never again!

Great for locals. Always fresh food, always quick (15 mins) always without MSG. Excellent spring rolls! My favorite Asian food place & definitely our go-to if we have no plans for dinner or lunch! Love the Gen. tsao's, Sesame chicken, & sauteed Chicken with Vegetables(for lighter days).

Tonight was the first time I tried this restaurant. I was impressed overall. The atmosphere in the restaurant itself was nothing special, but it was clean, well-lit, and inviting. The staff was friendly and prompt. The fare is typical for americanized Chinese food. We had the General Tso chicken, sesame chicken, and crab rangoon. It was served so hot, temperature-wise, that it was still hot to the touch--almost too hot--when we got it home. The chicken dishes were both tasty. The General Tso chicken was sweet with a spicy flavor that catches up with you. The sesame chicken had a mild, flavorful sauce, slightly sweet but meaty. The rice was the typical sticky white rice. There was enough food in each dish for lunch tomorrow. The crab rangoon was sweet and creamy, and they didn't skimp on the filling. While I liked the rangoon shell itself, my friend thought the shell was too crunchy and had an off flavor to him. All the dishes came with sauces, but they could have included more soy sauce. Overall, I would not think twice about going again.

General Tso chicken was really good. Best chinese I have had in Broward so far. My egg roll was big and full of flavor. I do think they are about $1 or $2 overpriced on their menu and especially considering the size. But that is my only complaint.

Really solid Chinese food. Definitely has less grease than the take-out places I have used in Boston, so that alone is an improvement. I tried the beef with broccoli, General Tao's chicken, and Szechuan shrimp, all which satisfied my craving for Chinese food. This place is perfect for late night take-out runs!

I'd been wanting to try this place since it opened, but without a menu and hating the sit and wait part for take-out food, it took me a few months. Finally, I was seriously craving some egg drop soup and Lotus Kitchen, my usual Chinese fix, had been seriously letting me down the past few visits, so I bit the bullet and went to Chopstix. I am so glad I did, because not only was the wait time under 15 minutes for a 3-dish order, but it was awesome! The egg drop soup actually had flavor, and the wontons I added were nice and soft and flavorful. The steamed pork dumplings were super meaty, fresh and not gummy at all and the dipping sauce some of the best I've had. I got the General Tso's chicken, one of the staples I judge a Chinese place by, and it was some of the best I've had as well. Crispy, good hint of spice, and flavorful. The pork fried rice was also good with bean sprouts added into the usual mix of peas, carrots, and onions. My mother was pleased with the amount of veggies included with the Mu Goo Gai Pan, and while not spicy enough for my father (nothing ever is, though), the chicken in garlic sauce was also great. The place is small, a few tables to eat at and chairs to sit to wait for your order, but it's very clean and pleasant inside. The staff were friendly and it smelled wonderful in there. As for freshness, it was quiet when I walked in, but once my order hit the computer I could hear the sizzle of the woks...you could tell everything was prepared fresh! So I'm convinced, even though it's pretty much a takeout place (you CAN eat there, but I'd rather be comfy at home) it's replaced Lotus Kitchen in my book!

As far as Chinese Restaurants go in this area, this restaurant was fantastic. Lets start off by giving it a whopping 5 Stars for cleanliness. Now, for the food. This was our first time at this restaurant, judging by the number of people I have seen go in and out of this restaurant, I knew I had to give it a try. We ordered Sesame Chicken, Moo Shu Chicken, Chicken Wings, Wonton Soup, Chicken Noodle Soup and a Egg Roll. The Sesame Chicken was tender, fresh, and well seasoned with the right amount of batter. The Moo Shu Chicken was tasteful. By the way the wraps were perfect. They were not flour wraps. The chicken wings were crispy. They were seasoned with the Chinese chicken wings seasoning, which is difficult to find in most Chinese restaurants in this area. The soup broths were darker in color. Based on the color I expected them to be drowned in soy sauce, but this was definitely not the case. They were flavorful and not greasy at all. The egg roll was fresh, flavorful and not greasy. Overall this restaurant was excellent and I do intend to go back. The staff was very nice. Having lived in China a year, I was not expecting an abundance of friendliness. This is just part of the culture and Im okay with that. Just give me some good ole American Chinese food.

I was craving some Chinese food the other night and found this place here on Yelp, liked the reviews and decided to give it a shot. It's your typical Chinese take-out style restaurant with a couple seats on the inside if you really want to eat there. The girl that took the order was very friendly and accommodated my request to switch out the rice from the dinner combo with veggie lo-mein. As other reviewers have mentioned, the food is exactly what you expect from a good Chinese restaurant and maybe a little bit more. Whenever I get the itch for more Chinese, this will be on the top of my list. Only complaint and the thing keeping this from a 5 star is they forgot my vegetable spring rolls. Oh well!

The BEST Chinese food in Wilton Manors, maybe Fort Lauderdale. I'm a native New Yorker...so good Chinese is everywhere, unlike here in South Florida..only place better than NYC has to be L.A. Chopstix isn't quite as good as a Chinese joint with the bulletproof glass and a dollar menu..but still tasty as hell. I loved the General Tso's chicken. It was crispy, tangy and a little bit of heat.. The Lo Mein was also good..I will update this review as I try more Chinese restuarant staples. As many other folks have said, it is super clean, and the food isn't greasy.

Definitely worth writing a review to encourage others to check them out! After learning that they haven't been open for too long and that some other competitors in the area are less than impressive, I decided to give this place a shot. I was craving General Tso Chicken, which was very tasty, and their dumpling / pot stickers are beyong AMAZING !!! This is definitely my new Chinese joint in FTL.

Yo, these reviews are wack - went here bc my fav chinese joint was on vacation, this place is inexpensive and rightly so.. To set the stage, Its got the old school photos of the chinese dishes backlit over the register. We got the general tso chicken and shrimp fried rice. General Tso would be disappointed with these mini fried nuggets drenched in ooze sauce.. The shrimp were ok, but they used yellow rice to make the fried rice?? seriously, is there a shortage of white rice?? you all can continue eating here, but this was my first and last visit..

Chopstix is the best Chinese we have had in South Florida. We moved here 2 years ago and were so disappointed in the Chinese take out restaurants. Then Chopstix' opened in Wilton Manor's and we have been so pleased. We order take out from here every Sunday Night since they opened ... our 'Chinese and Movie night' !! We love everything we have ordered. A wonderful family owned restaurant, they are always very pleasant and willing to accommodate special requests.

This is my local stand-by for take-out Chinese food. The ingredients taste fresh and they know how to make it spicy (not gringo spicy mind you). The garlic shrimp were great as was the beef w/pea pods.

Standard american chinese menu, but everything seems a bit fresher and tastier than most places. Sweet and sour chicken is my go-to option, and they do a good job with it here - nice pieces of all white meat chicken, not over cooked. Wonderful, friendly, quick service. And their dinner plate combinations (entree, pork fried rice, and egg roll) for $7-8 is more than enough food and a great deal.

Ah! Finally another Chinese takeout place in Wilton Manors other than Lotus Chinese Kitchen. This place, which recently opened up, is actually more of a fast food takeout place, without losing the quality of the food. There's only a couple of tables at the place, in case you're planning to eat there. They have all the usual items on the menu. I've tried a few things and they're all pretty tasty and not too greasy for Chinese food. You can see all of the kitchen while they prepare your food, and it's all nice and clean. This will definitely be my go-to place for takeout moving forward.

Let's get real about the typical Chinese restaurant. Same menu, same food. We think that this place is a cut above for two reasons. It is extremely clean and the dishes are fresh. They don't look and taste like the basic fixings have been sitting around for days. Portions are substantial, taste very fresh and did I mention how clean the place is? Compared to one Chinese place with great taste that is filthy and another one down the street that appears to let the basic recipes sit for days (and is also not so clean) this is a five star take out place!

As a Florida resident for 7 years from NY and new to the neighborhood, I always have to try the Chinese to see how bad it is. Thanks to the other ratings which were accurate this place is decently good. No weird, chewy meat or super MSG sauces. We were delightfully satisfied at how inexpensive, fast and good it was. Will definitely be reordering (bummer they don't deliver) from here again. Looking forward to not paying $20 for chix with broccoli filled with sodium, from that big chain restaurant.

Decent in a pinch. I live close so I wanted it to be great, but it was just good. Dumplings were decent, wonton was good, sesame chicken was a bit chewy and the noodles you put in the soup were stale. It was super clean though, you can see your reflection in the floor.

I am an avid Yelp review reader when it comes to choosing a new restaurant. When Chop Sticks opened up near my home, I immediately came to Yelp for a review but none could be found. After eating takeout from this restaurant twice, I felt the need to write my first ever Yelp review. As everyone knows, the search for decent Chinese food in South Florida is often a fruitless task but i am thrilled to say I have found good Chinese food at a phenomenal price. The Hunan Chicken, General Tao's Chicken and Chicken with Garlic Sauce are all delicious. The combination dinners cost about $8.00 and include your main item ordered, fried rice and an egg roll. For the price point, the portions are huge and the leftovers are even better the next day. I highly recommend you give this new takeout restaurant a try. You wont be sorry.

Excellent egg rolls and good Cantonese and non-spicy entries. However, spicy dishes arrive swimming in grease and the soups are barely passable. Must choose very carefully here.

not sure how the filtering thing here works...but interesting that this place seems to get a pretty high rating although "hidden" under screened reviews are an equal number of reviews giving VERY low scores to this place. what gives yelp?!
